What is stress?
Stress is how we react when we feel under pressure or threatened. It usually happens when we are in a situation that we don't feel we can manage or control.
1.Take Care of Your Body
- Eat healthy: Have fruits and vegetables, lean protein, whole grains, and low- or no-fat dairy. Limit foods with unhealthy fats, salt, and added sugars.
- Get enough sleep: Go to bed and wake up at the same time each day to help you sleep better.
- Get some exercise: Physical exercise can help manage the effects of stress by producing endorphins that boost your mood.
- Avoid smoking, vaping, and the use of other tobacco products.
2.Get Organized
- Clutter could be contributing to your stress. Take a few minutes to reorganize your desk, leaving just what you need on top.
3.Let go of the less important things
- It can help you to leave certain tasks to someone else. Sometimes that gives the feeling that you will lose control. That things don’t get done the way you want them to. But if you try to do more than you can actually handle, you will have to learn to let things go. So you will have to ask other people for help. This can be difficult at times, but you still need to take bold steps to overcome your pride and fear of letting go.
4. Talking therapy
- Talking with a trained professional could help you find ways to deal with stress. And it can help you become more aware of your own thoughts and feelings.
